We have only one reintroduction project done by PA fish and Boat that was not successful while volunteers at TU did a highly successful reintroduction in the Delaware watershed as weekend warriors. We are essentially just flying blind in Pa doing all the things fisheries scientists are telling us not to do(stock invasive trout species over brook trout, manage tiny isolated stream sections for brook trout, building habitat structures in streams where brook and invasive brown trout live who can use he projects to push brookies out. It mentions that we don’t even know in PA how many brook trout we have lost which makes tracking the outcome impossible.
The report references some successes(most seemingly outside PA: Stac workshop, Md’s temp TMDL and cold water mapping tool) however that we are not on track to meet the goals and there is a very significant lack of progress.
